Clean Slate Services - Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: August 19, 2026
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the websites, online booking systems, customer portals, communications, and residential cleaning services offered by Clean Slate Services, LLC (“Clean Slate,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By accessing our website, creating an account, scheduling or purchasing services, or otherwise using our services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our website or services.
1. Our Services
Clean Slate provides residential cleaning and related services. Available services, service areas, pricing, estimated service durations, promotions, and other offerings may change from time to time.
Services may include one-time cleaning, recurring cleaning, deep cleaning, move-in or move-out cleaning, and other services offered through our website or booking system.
The specific services included in your appointment are determined by the service and options selected when booking, together with any written modifications subsequently agreed to by Clean Slate.
2. Booking Services
Customers may request or schedule services through our website, online booking system, customer portal, telephone, email, or other methods we make available.
When making a booking, you agree to provide accurate and complete information, including your:
Name and contact information
Service address
Property characteristics
Requested services
Access instructions
Information regarding pets
Special instructions or conditions that may reasonably affect our ability to perform the service
You are responsible for keeping this information accurate and current.
Submitting a booking request does not guarantee that Clean Slate will be able to perform the requested service. We may decline, modify, reschedule, or cancel a booking when reasonably necessary.
3. Customer Accounts
Certain features may require you to create or use a customer account.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for activity occurring through your account.
Please notify Clean Slate promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.
4. Pricing and Estimates
Prices displayed through our website or booking system are generally based on the information provided by the customer, including factors such as home size, number of bedrooms and bathrooms, cleaning type, frequency, selected add-ons, and other relevant characteristics.
You agree to provide accurate information about the property and its condition.
If the actual size, condition, configuration, or cleaning requirements of the property materially differ from the information provided during booking, Clean Slate may contact you to discuss:
Additional charges
Additional cleaning time
Modification of the requested service
Rescheduling or declining portions of the service
We will not intentionally perform materially expanded work resulting in substantial additional charges without obtaining customer authorization where reasonably practicable.
Prices, discounts, and promotions are subject to change. Changes to standard pricing will not retroactively change the price of a completed service.
5. Recurring Services
Customers may schedule recurring services at frequencies offered by Clean Slate.
Recurring-service pricing may include a discount based upon the selected frequency. That pricing assumes that services continue at approximately the selected frequency.
If you cancel, pause, or materially change the frequency of recurring services, future appointments may be priced according to the then-current rate applicable to the new frequency or service type.
You may cancel future recurring appointments subject to the cancellation provisions below.
Clean Slate does not guarantee that the same cleaning professional or team will perform every recurring appointment, although we may attempt to maintain consistency when reasonably possible.
Recurring cleaning services do not require a fixed-term contract. Customers may discontinue future recurring services subject to the cancellation policy applicable to any appointment already scheduled.
6. Payments and Card Authorization
Clean Slate uses third-party payment processors, including Stripe, to securely process payments.
When you provide a payment method, you authorize Clean Slate and its payment processor to charge that payment method for amounts legitimately due in connection with services you request, including:
Scheduled cleaning services
Approved additional services
Applicable taxes
Cancellation or lockout fees permitted under these Terms
Other charges you expressly authorize
Your payment information may be securely stored by our payment processor to facilitate future or recurring transactions.
Clean Slate does not directly store your complete payment-card information.
If a payment is declined or otherwise unsuccessful, you remain responsible for amounts properly due.
7. Cancellations and Rescheduling
We understand that plans change. Customers may cancel or reschedule appointments through the methods made available by Clean Slate, including the customer portal where available.
Our cancellation and rescheduling policy is:
More than 24 hours before the scheduled service: No cancellation or rescheduling fee.
Within 24 hours, but more than 4 hours before the scheduled service: A fee equal to 50% of the scheduled service price will be charged.
Within 4 hours of the scheduled service: A fee equal to 100% of the scheduled service price will be charged.
Cancellation and rescheduling deadlines are measured from the scheduled start time of the appointment.
If our cleaning team is unable to access the property at the scheduled service time because access was not provided as arranged, the appointment may be treated as a same-day cancellation and charged up to 100% of the scheduled service price.
Clean Slate may waive a cancellation or rescheduling fee in appropriate circumstances at its discretion.
Clean Slate may reschedule or cancel an appointment because of severe weather, unsafe conditions, illness, staffing issues, emergencies, or other circumstances reasonably outside our control.
If Clean Slate cancels an appointment before services are performed, you will not be charged for cleaning services that were not provided.
8. Access to Your Home
You are responsible for providing safe and timely access to the property at the scheduled service time.
Available access methods may include someone being present at the property, a key, lockbox, smart lock, door code, concierge or building access, or another arrangement agreed upon by the customer and Clean Slate.
If we cannot access the property within a reasonable period after arriving, the appointment may be treated as a same-day cancellation or lockout in accordance with Section 7.
If you provide keys, access codes, alarm information, or similar access instructions, you authorize Clean Slate and personnel assigned to your service to use that information solely as reasonably necessary to provide the requested services.
You are responsible for notifying us if access instructions change.
9. Home Conditions and Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for providing a reasonably safe working environment.
Before service, please inform us of conditions that may affect the safety or performance of the cleaning, including:
Broken or unstable furniture or fixtures
Hazardous materials
Pest infestations
Biohazards
Excessive mold
Construction hazards
Unsafe electrical conditions
Aggressive animals
Other unusual or dangerous conditions
Clean Slate may refuse or discontinue work that we reasonably believe presents a safety hazard to our personnel, customers, animals, or property.
Customers should provide reasonable access to the areas scheduled to be cleaned and remove excessive clutter or other obstructions that prevent normal cleaning unless organizing or similar work is specifically part of the purchased service.
10. Pets
We are happy to provide services in homes with pets.
You are responsible for informing Clean Slate about pets at the property and for appropriately securing any animal that may interfere with cleaning or present a safety risk.
Clean Slate is not responsible for a pet escaping from the property when the pet was not reasonably secured or when access instructions require opening exterior doors, except to the extent caused by our negligence or as otherwise required by law.
If a pet displays aggressive or unsafe behavior, we may decline to enter the property or discontinue the service.
11. Valuables and Fragile Items
Customers should secure cash, jewelry, medications, firearms, important documents, collectibles, irreplaceable items, and other unusually valuable property before a cleaning appointment.
Please identify fragile, unstable, damaged, unusually valuable, or sentimental items that require special care.
Clean Slate may decline to clean or move items that our personnel reasonably believe could be damaged through normal handling.
12. Cleaning Limitations and Exclusions
Cleaning results depend upon numerous factors, including the age, material, condition, staining, wear, previous treatment, and maintenance of surfaces and fixtures.
Clean Slate cannot guarantee removal of every stain, discoloration, odor, buildup, or permanent condition.
Certain materials or conditions may require specialized restoration or treatment beyond the scope of ordinary residential cleaning.
Unless specifically included in the service purchased or separately agreed upon, our services do not include hazardous-material remediation, pest removal, mold remediation, biohazard cleanup, restoration work, repair services, or other specialized services outside the normal scope of residential cleaning.
We may decline to use a product, tool, or cleaning method requested by a customer if we reasonably believe it may be unsafe, ineffective, or likely to cause damage.
13. Satisfaction Guarantee and Re-Clean Policy
Your satisfaction is important to us, and we stand behind the cleaning services we provide.
If an area included within your scheduled cleaning was missed or a portion of the cleaning service you purchased was not completed to a reasonable standard, please contact Clean Slate as soon as reasonably possible after your service.
We may request photographs, additional information, or other reasonable documentation so that we can review the concern.
If Clean Slate determines that the concern resulted from a missed area or a portion of the purchased service that was not properly completed, we will provide an approved re-clean of the affected area at no additional charge.
The complimentary re-clean is limited to addressing the specific area or service deficiency approved by Clean Slate and does not constitute a complete additional cleaning unless Clean Slate determines that a full re-clean is appropriate.
Our Satisfaction Guarantee does not apply to:
Services or areas that were not included in the original booking
Permanent stains, discoloration, damage, deterioration, or normal wear
Conditions that cannot reasonably be corrected through ordinary cleaning
Areas that could not be safely or reasonably accessed during the original service
Conditions resulting from events occurring after our cleaning was completed
Additional cleaning or services that the customer declined to purchase
Clean Slate will review satisfaction concerns in good faith and determine whether they qualify for a complimentary re-clean under this policy.
14. Damage and Breakage
Although we take reasonable care while working in your home, accidents can occasionally occur.
Please notify Clean Slate promptly if you believe property was damaged during a cleaning service. Providing photographs and other relevant information may help us investigate the matter.
Clean Slate may inspect the item or area and investigate the circumstances before determining an appropriate resolution.
We are not responsible for damage resulting from:
Normal wear and tear
Pre-existing damage
Improper installation
Loose, unstable, or defective fixtures
Deteriorated materials or finishes
Items that cannot withstand ordinary cleaning
Customer-supplied products or equipment when used according to customer instructions
Conditions that were not reasonably apparent to our cleaning personnel
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.

24. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Clean Slate Services, LLC and its officers, employees, agents, and service providers from third-party claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and reasonable costs arising from:
